Dr. Antoinette Newsome currently serves as an Associate Director/Consultant for EAB’s Moon Shot for Social & Economic Mobility, a transformational initiative to eliminate equity gaps and improve student outcomes. Through her work with Moon Shot, Antoinette supports institutions across the country to implement best practices to inform equity-minded change and leverage technology and data insights. This keynote explores the intersection of women’s leadership and equity, highlighting the persistence of gender gaps in education and leadership. Despite women being a majority in higher education enrollment, systemic inequities continue to limit opportunities. Drawing from national initiatives like the Moon Shot for Equity, this address will examine actionable strategies to close equity gaps and inspire a vision for transformative leadership. As we reflect on the progress made and challenges ahead, this discussion will empower attendees to advocate for change in their communities and institutions.
